About

I’m Aketzali, a mexican visual artist born at the edge of the 20th century in 1999. I've grown up with a deep passion for stories, for our unique way of creating them and for the way they dance to our rhythm, teaching us so much in return. So, I always seek to surround myself with them—within books, in movie theaters, binging the shows I can find, through conversations with friends in our favorite cafes, and in every meal shared with family.

I graduated as an Animator and Digital Artist, focusing my projects on Visual Development. During my studies, I polished up my skills in character creation, storytelling, scene design, and environment building. Though I typically lean toward digital media, I enjoy working between traditional and digital techniques depending on what best conveys the message. There is something almost magical in finding your way to communicate something through characters, scenarios or texts that aren’t really moving that it has been more challenging yet fun for me to find the way to connect with people like so.
It took me one project for my design class to realize I loved learning the complexity of composition, typography, shape, textures, and color. While illustrating became my fun way of expressing myself, designing was a structured way of creation.
My work experience includes branding, social media content creation, corporate stationery, and, more recently, the conceptualization of two occasions for Enviaflores.com, along with the development and design of products for their catalog.
